Greater Portland Five Workers’ Compensation Fund (GPV) was created by a group of employers from various industries to join together to ensure the safety of their employees. They would like you to consider joining them. Members of GPV receive the best loss prevention and claims management services available while also minimizing their workers’ compensation costs.

GPV is one of the most successful, cost effective providers of workers’ compensation coverage in Maine. Created to benefit the members and their employees– not insurance carriers, GPV has 6 employers and 1,600 employees and has an incredible record of safety and lower costs.

As a group, the members work together to keep employees safe, reduce costs and maintain standards of excellence in all areas of the program. GPV started in 1990, so the group is now 34 years old and refunded over $31.2 million, which is more than 32% of premiums paid.
